Portrait painted by me based on a reference image shot by Carly Zavala

HI! I’M AN ILLUSTRATOR, MURALIST, DESIGNER AND MORE.

After earning a degree in industrial design from the University of Washington in Seattle, I moved to NYC and made my way into illustration after being laid off at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. With a style that mixes realistic portraiture with surrealism and a vibrant color palette, my work emphasizes a celebration of women and femmes of color. I have a passion for health equity and justice, music, and exploring and connecting with my Chinese and German heritages. My work feels most aligned when I am illustrating and/or creating at these intersections, and I am often inspired by my friends, nature, and the ups and downs of daily life.

Born and raised in Washington state by two immigrant parents, I am now based in Brooklyn, NY. When not creating for money, I’m usually creating for fun — designing my own lights, tufting, painting, sewing, and playing with air-dry clay — or going to a park or museum with a friend.
